Groundswell transformed both the interior and exterior space of a former Washington Square restaurant in Philadelphia to the lush, magical Talula’s Garden.
A pergola constructed from reclaimed structural timber defines the formal brick and bluestone courtyard, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Custom-designed barn wood window boxes, filled with vibrant flowers, add a touch of rustic charm. A whimsical water feature, crafted from vintage faucet heads, introduces a playful element to the space.
The design thoughtfully integrates reclaimed materials and natural elements, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to sustainability and creating a serene dining environment. The combination of reclaimed timber, barn wood, and vintage fixtures pays homage to the building's history while infusing it with new life.
