Overview
Groundswell Design Group was given “carte blanche” to re-design the all-but-forgotten Chelsea, New York City landmark: Empire Diner, a project spearheaded by celebrity chef Amanda Freitag.
From the Art Deco lighting, the channel back booths and the painstaking restoration of the existing honeycomb floor, the space's details aim to redefine the dining experience and at the same time reinforce the casual comfort and approachable cuisine that everyone expects from a diner.
